Who we are
This website, adventurefactorybooks.com, is operated by The Adventure Factory LLC (“The Adventure Factory”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@adventurefactorybooks.com.
What this website does right now
The Adventure Factory hasn’t launched yet. This website describes the personalized printable books we plan to offer and lets adults join an early-access email list. Nothing can be purchased, no accounts can be created, and no books can be made on this website yet, so we don’t collect payment details or any information about children.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you choose to join our early-access list. We use it to send you updates about our launch and our books. We don’t ask for your name or anything else.
- Basic technical information that any website receives, such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting provider processes it to deliver the site and keep it secure. We also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated signup attempts. We don’t use it to identify you.
We don’t use analytics tools, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels on this website, and we don’t sell or rent your information.
Our email service: Kit
Our list is managed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), an email marketing service. When you sign up, your email address is sent to Kit and stored by them on our behalf. Kit’s handling of your information is described in its own privacy policy at kit.com.
Confirming and unsubscribing
After you sign up, you’ll get an email asking you to confirm. You won’t receive our updates unless you confirm. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@adventurefactorybooks.com.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you’re subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we’ll remove it from our list (Kit may keep a record that the address unsubscribed, so you aren’t emailed again). We may remove addresses that are never confirmed.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@adventurefactorybooks.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Security
The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and only the people who run The Adventure Factory can access our email list. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it.
Children’s privacy
Our books are made for children, but this website and our email list are for parents and other adults. Children shouldn’t sign up. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us at hello@adventurefactorybooks.com and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we open purchases and book creation, we’ll update this policy to explain what information those services use. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
